Green Stuff World's Glasspack Footprints are 1mm transparent scenery and terrain bases, designed to clearly mark the footprints of buildings, ruins, walls, barricades, generators, and other key terrain areas in games compatible with Warhammer 40,000® 11th Edition . Now that the new 2026 edition has somewhat of a slant on traditional round objective markers and puts much more emphasis on terrain footprints, having clearly defined battlefield areas is more important than ever to control objectives, clarify missions, and avoid arguments over line of sight.
They're made of completely transparent, flexible, and impact-resistant plastic, allowing you to precisely define the playable area of ??each scenic element without obscuring the design of your playmat. Unlike other solutions made of MDF, neoprene, or any other opaque material, they maintain the aesthetics of the table and also avoid raised edges that could get in the way when placing or moving miniatures. Thanks to their low profile, they're particularly suitable for competitive play, friendly matches, clubs, and tournaments, where consistent setup, quick assembly, and the small space they take up during transport are highly appreciated.
Each 40k Glasspack has white borders, so during the game you can clearly see where each terrain area begins and ends. This helps greatly reduce guesswork when checking whether a unit is inside a ruin, benefits from cover, contesting an area, or interacting with specific mission elements. In 11th Edition, this makes even more sense, as the terrain and mission structure are more closely intertwined, each army can have different primary objectives, and the recommended table layouts are designed around specific area and battlezone dimensions.
These transparent footprints work particularly well on dark or gray playmats, especially with urban or lava-themed settings, where the white outline stands out well without visually ruining the table. They are less recommended for very light-colored or snow-themed tables. Lightweight, flexible, and easy to carry in a box or army briefcase, they are a perfect solution for any player looking for a cleaner, more practical, and professional-looking setup, while also remaining very close to the standard deployment and terrain dimensions seen in the new edition.
